The Carrot Project and our partners at right are developing a Strategic Blueprint to Build a Sustainable Business Assistance Network to Support Farm and Food Businesses in the Northeast US, with the possibility of expanding to a national scale.
In order to radically alter the sector's ecosystem to produce and source significantly greater amounts of our food supply for our region, we envision a fertile culture for entrepreneurs and an explosion of investments from the public and private sectors. The vehicle for this change is a sustainable business assistance network across the region. This Blueprint will lead to a strategic regional agenda that maps the steps required to develop a sustainable business assistance network for the agricultural sector. The target audience for this blueprint includes business assistance organizations that would benefit and be involved in such a network, as well as philanthropists, federal and state policymakers and funders, and other regional agricultural leaders and stakeholders.
The intended outcome of an implemented Blueprint is a framework to work across states and regions to accomplish and maintain these goals:
