The University of Connecticut will host this year’s summit, where they’ll discuss: crew management, legal obligations when hiring, office management and more. Finding people, keeping people, and managing people for farm businesses is hard, and the summit is here to help foster those conversations and to look realistically at community engagement.

Cian Dalzell, Carrot’s Senior Business Advisor & Financial Education, will lead a session on Office Management from 12:25 to 1:40 pm. Financial record-keeping is our bread and butter, and we will provide farm businesses with options for how to approach income statements, payrolls and taxes.
